'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Lids 'It was fantastic!'

Rotherham United`s caretaker Manager, Andy Liddell couldn`t have wished for a better start to his new career than the six-nil drubbing of Lincoln City last night at Sincil Bank.

Speaking after the game to MillersPlayer he said, 'It was fantastic! They played really well and I`m proud to be a manager of a team that played like that.

'If I`m honest, I was a little bit worried before the game because I`ve seen what they`ve been doing in training and I just wanted them to repeat it. And I got that and more. In fact, I couldn`t ask for any more.

'They all worked hard and the lads who went on I wanted them to show passion as well and show me that I`m wrong not to start them. Jason Taylor`s goal in the top corner was an absolute screamer.

'But I don`t want to speak about individual players because they were all fantastic. I played the game as a team player and I believe it`s a team game and if I started to single people out I`d be here all night. There was only Warrington who was rubbish because he didn`t do anything!

'I`ve told the players to enjoy it because they were absolutely brilliant

'I know it`s only one game. I know it`s only three points. But, come on, it was fantastic. I`ve told them that you`ve got to enjoy nights like that but we`ll be back in training tomorrow getting ready for the Shrewsbury game on Tuesday because that`s a big game.`
