'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Shrewsbury Town

Rotherham United`s caretaker boss, Andy Liddell said that he couldn`t fault his side`s effort after the three-nil loss at Don Valley to promotion hopefuls Shrewsbury Town last night.

Town boss, Graham Turner told their Official Site that, although he thought it was an impressive result he was also a little peeved that more decisions didn`t go their way.

'To get a three-one result against fellow promotion candidates is a very good victory especially as we played some good football on a difficult pitch. But, if we had got a number of decisions that should have gone our way, it might have been more impressive.

'We were a bit peeved just after half-time when Tom Bradshaw was hauled down in the penalty area which should have been a penalty and a sending off and then later there was a similar incident.

'But, it`s been a good night for us and the result puts us in a strong position, but we aren`t getting carried away with things.`

I don`t know about anyone else but I thought the Shrews got more than their fair share of decisions during the game last night. Yes, maybe the incident Turner talks about just after the second half should have been a penalty, but they had more than good luck when they were awarded a penalty in the second half.
