RUFC - Lidds pre Morecambe

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Andy Liddell says that it will be a tough game tomorrow at Don Valley against Morecambe.

Although Morecambe have lost their last five games, they have beaten Chesterfield and Shrewsbury this season and Lidds said he`d spoken to Chesterfield Manager, John Sheridan about them. 'He said Morecambe were fantastic. Although he said it was the worst performance Chesterfield have given but Morecambe were fantastic and we`ll have a hard game.

'But, apart from Chesterfield, I think everyone is pretty similar in this league and anyone can beat anyone on the day. We just hope to have that little bit of luck on the day and hope that your better players play well and you can take any mistake from the opposition, like Shrewsbury did to us.`

Lidds is also hoping his defenders can keep Paul Mullins and Phil Jevons quiet and said, 'They`re good players and have had good careers and hopefully our players can overcome them. But, it`s not just them, they`ve got other players who are dangerous as well.

'They`ve been inconsistent with their results but, on the day, they`ve beaten Chesterfield away from home, and that says everything.`
