RUFC - Warney on former team mates in the news

Rotherham United Assistant Caretaker Manager, Paul Warne sent at message to his three former team mates who have recently taken up new posts.

Paul Hurst and Rob Scott have moved to Grimsby Town and Warney said, 'I wish them all the best. They've had a draw and a defeat, although in Scotty's eyes that will be two defeats because he's the bad cop.

'They've done well at the other clubs they've been with so I expect their career to go from strength to strength. We've already organised a pre-season game with them and I'll look forward to Scotty arguing with me on the sidelines.'

Alan Knill has left League Two promotion hopefuls Bury and moved to League One struggler`s, Scunthorpe and Warney said, 'I thought Knilly would have stayed at Bury and tried to get them up but I think, really, he was forced into moving at the end. He played for Scunny so no doubt he'll have a good time there.

e couldn't ever have managed Bournemouth because of the sun, he'd have got sunburnt. We used to call him the big sunflower but the sun doesn't shine much at Scunny so he'll be fine there.'
