RUFC - Millers recall Pope

Rotherham United have recalled striker, Tom Pope from his loan spell at Port Vale.

Pope had signed a deal to stay with Vale for a third month before Ronnie Moore left the Millers but now caretaker manager, Andy Liddell and his assistant, Paul Warne, have used the re-call in the contract.

Pope joined the Millers in the summer of 2009 and has scored four goals for the Millers in forty-four games but didn't need asking twice when he was asked to go to his boyhood favourites, Vale.

Caretaker Manager, Mark Grew told the Valiants Official Site, 'We are bitterly disappointed to lose Tom but there's nothing we can do. I know he will be sorry to leave us and we want to thank him for his contribution.'
