RUFC - Head-to-Head v Cheltenham
Rotherham United go head-to-head with Cheltenham Town on Saturday for only the eighth time ever in the league.
The game in August at Don Valley was a ten-goal thriller. The visitors went ahead on four minutes from a Jeff Goulding goal with Adam Le Fondre getting an equaliser twelve minutes later. Wes Thomas put Town back in the lead on twenty-eight minutes and Sean Jeffers increasing that lead eight minutes later. Danny Harrison got another back for the Millers on forty-one minutes to make the score three-two to Town at half-time. Three minutes into the second half, Le Fondre equalised for the Millers and two minutes later he gave them a lead. Ryan Cresswell joined in and made it three goals in the first ten minutes of the second half for Rotherham and Alfie got his fourth on sixty-six minutes. In the last minute of the match, Keith Lowe scored for Town to make it six-four.
The first ever game between the two at Whaddon Road was in October 1999 and ended in a win for the Millers after a Steve Thompson penalty and a goal from Paul Warne put the Millers two up.
