RUFC - Youth 'keeper to travel on Saturday

Rotherham United Youth Goalkeeper, Jack Leyden will travel with the first team squad to Cheltenham on Saturday as back-up for Jamie Annerson.

Annerson will be playing due to number one 'keeper Andy Warrington having a toe injury.

Development Coach, Tony Mee told the Official Site, 'I am sure Jack will see this as a great opportunity and travelling with the first team will serve as a massive learning curve. He turned seventeen this week so it is a great birthday present for him.

'All the youth team 'keepers work regularly in training with the first team and he has worked very hard and Andy Dibble has been impressed with him. He's very agile, a good shot stopper and his distribution is good and when he's played in the Reserves his performances have been encouraging.'
