'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Lidds pre Cheltenham

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Andy Liddell is fearing a backlash after Cheltenham's heavy defeat at Crewe last weekend and he says his team have got to be ready for it.

Speaking to MillersPlayer Lidds said, 'It was a freak result really and you saw what happened with Rotherham after we lost heavily to Chesterfield and I'm expecting the same reaction from Cheltenham.

'It's only a couple of weeks ago that they beat Bury so they aren't mugs they just obviously had an off day. I know what their manager will be doing because me and Paul (Warne) did the same. They'll be ready and they'll be straight out at us quickly and we've got to be ready for it.

'We aren't going to treat Cheltenham any differently than we would the top of the league and we need to go there and put a performance on, especially after the second half at Morecambe last week. The players owe themselves a performance and we'll hopefully see one it at Cheltenham.

'They have a number of dangerous players but hopefully we can expose any weaknesses that they make.'
