RUFC - Mullins Season Finished

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Andy Liddell confirmed, after the draw with Cheltenham this evening, what the travelling Millers to Cheltenham had been told earlier in the day, that centre-half, Johnny Mullins' season is over.

Speaking to the Official Site, Lidds said, 'Johnny has a bad injury, I don't know what the correct diagnosis is, but we won't be seeing him again this season.

'He requires an operation, which is quite major, and I don't want to speculate on the time scale.

'He's been one of the best centre-halves in the league this season but, luckily, we have Ryan (Cresswell) and Nick (Fenton) who are good deputies and who both played well today.'

At the game today there were rumours that Mullins could be out until Christmas, which is a big blow to him and the club.

Vital Rotherham wish Johnny all the best

How sad - he was/is probably my player of the season. Good luck, Johnny, for a complete and speedy recovery. On the radio 6 or 7months was given as the possible time he may need to recover.

It's very sad. I also think he's made a big difference to the side this year
