'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Lidds on Mullins

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Andy Liddell says he is gutted for centre-half, Johnny Mullins.

As we found out on Saturday, the twenty-five year old has suffered a serious injury to his knee and is going for an operation which could leave him out of the team until Christmas.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game on Saturday, Lidds said, 'Johnny's going to be out for a good few months and we feel for him because he's been a fantastic player for Rotherham this year. And we are going to miss him but we've got to get on with it.

'It's his kneecap. I actually heard it come out of place and go back in with a snapping noise. He was in a lot of pain and I thought it was bad at the time

'He's a great lad and he's brilliant round the changing rooms and I've got a lot of time for him. He's going to have an operation next week and we'll take it from there.

'The diagnosis is six or seven months but hopefully he might be back before that, but it is bad.'
