'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Striker unsure of his future

Rotherham United striker, Tom Pope was called back from his loan spell with Port Vale last Wednesday and started the game on Saturday against Cheltenham. After the game the former Crewe Alexandra striker was asked about his future with Rotherham United.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the one all draw at Cheltenham at the weekend, the twenty-five year old said, 'It`s all up in the air at the minute. There isn`t a permanent manager in so it depends on who`s going to come in and other clubs being interested.'

Tom, a self confessed Port Vale fan, was obviously happy to go out on loan to the club he's supported since a boy said, 'It`s not in my hands. I`m just going to keep trying to play and give one hundred and ten per cent and whatever happens in the future happens. I`m just going to concentrate, until the end of the season, trying to get this club back in the play off`s and take each game as it comes.`

Tom began his league career with Crewe and had loan spells with various non-league teams before he joined the Millers in the summer of 2009, when he signed a three year contract.
