RUFC - Chairman on Manager Appointment

Rotherham United have appointed Andy Scott as manager on a three year contract today and Chairman, Tony Stewart told the Official Site, that he will work closely with Scott to help the club climb upwards.

Speaking after the appointment, Mr Stewart said, 'In our pursuits to reach our ambition we will always put the best interest of Rotherham United Football Club at the front of any decision and I am confident that the appointment of Andy Scott is consistent with that thought process and strategy as we look to continue to develop and progress this club on our journey forward.

'Andy, myself and the board of directors will work closely together relentlessly in our endeavour to climb upwards through the Football League.

'I would like to express my gratitude to the work and effort that both Paul Warne and Andy Liddell have put into team affairs. They are two fantastic guys that we all think the world of.'

Vital Rotherham understands that Andy Liddell will stay with the Millers in a coaching capacity while Paul Warne will carry on as a player.
