RUFC - Scott under no pressure to win

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that he is under no pressure to see the Millers win their first game under his management.

Speaking to the Official Site before travelling to Aldershot yesterday, Scott said, 'The most important thing is that the squad is assessed properly. We need to make sure what the players are and are not capable of before we make decisions about their futures.

'Having said that, winning games of football is what we are about and the players` mentality of how to win a match is something I`m looking at.`

Speaking about today`s game with Aldershot, Scott said he knew Dean Holdsworth very well and managed Shots Damien Spencer and John Halls as well as playing with Luke Guttridge.

'I know they have some good players,` he said. 'On their day they are a very good side and have the potential to score goals and cause problems and we will need to be on our toes. Hopefully, it will be an entertaining game with both sides being able to release the shackles because there aren`t the pressures of promotion or play-offs at stake. Hopefully we can play some free flowing football and create plenty of chances.`
