RUFC - Scott nothing but praise for Alfie

RUFC - Scott nothing but praise for Alfie

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said he thought striker, Adam Le Fondre was outstanding this afternoon in the two-all draw at Aldershot.

Speaking after the game to Radio Sheffield Scott said, 'The question was asked of him this morning. We went for a walk and he was someone I didn't know how to crack and work out. But, that's going to take time with every player.

'I asked him for what I felt he could be and asked the question of whether he could do those things. I told him that as long as he does it for as long as he can then I don't mind but not to just drift through ninety minutes. I asked him to show me what player he is and he was fantastic. He's a clever player. When they start to back off he drops into little pockets and when they stay high he goes in behind. He worked his socks off down both channels today. He got his rewards with getting two goals and we got him more chances because he was working for the team as much as everyone else.'
