'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Early Injury News

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that Nicky Law has more chance of being close to playing on Saturday against Torquay than Ryan Taylor.

Ryan has been out for a couple of weeks after coming off against Northampton while Nicky Law came off in the same game with some soft tissue damage. Ian Thomas-Moore has been in and out of the side lately with a re-occuring thigh injury.

Speaking to MillersPlayer today, Scott said, 'To be honest Ryan wasn't even close last Saturday but we will keep monitoring him.

'Nicky has a bit more chance. The swelling has gone down and the bruising has become more bearable. I'm not sure about Ian Thomas-Moore, it's just a case of how quickly it settles down but we won't risk him if it's going to do long term damage.'

Tom Newey was taken off on Saturday and Scott said, 'Every time he struck a ball towards the end of the first half he was getting shooting pains down the front of his kneecaps. We are hopeful that it's just a little strain on the patella more than anything else and we are hopeful that it will settle down because Tom's done quite well since I've been here and it's a bit of a blow to lose him but Jamie (Green) came on and filled in OK.'
