RUFC - Mullins is on the road to recovery

Rotherham United`s versatile defender, Johnny Mullins says that he has no intention of being out for seven months after he returned to the training ground on crutches this week.

Johnny, who joined the Millers from Stockport last summer, who last played at the beginning of April, has had to have an operation on a knee injury that he suffered during training, which was originally thought would keep him out of the team for seven months.

Speaking to the Official Site, the twenty-five year old said, 'I did it when one of my feet was off the ground and my leg just rotated and I dislocated my kneecap. But, when I first did it I didn`t think I`d done half the damage I have.

'But, I`ve no intentions of being out for seven months. If the surgeons say I have to then that`s the case but I hope not. I`ve got to do what Dennis (Circuit) and the surgeon tell me, but hopefully I`ll be back before then. Once I`ve got the cast off I can do a lot more and get it moving. But Den`s the man and he`s got a magic touch and I`ll hand my trust over to him because he knows what he`s doing. But, hopefully, I`ll be back on the pitch sooner rather than later.`
