'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Torquay

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said he thought his team played very well after beating Torquay United three-one at Don Valley yesterday afternoon.

Torquay Manager, Paul Buckle , despite the loss, was very upbeat after getting his side into the play-offs. Speaking to Radio Devon, Buckle said, 'We know there's a lot of hard work ahead of us but I'd like to thank our fans who were exceptional today and were great at keeping me updated with what was happening elsewhere. It's an incredible achievement to get into the play-offs three out of four seasons.

'We couldn't play the game we wanted today because the pitch was awful and it's not an excuse. It suited them (Rotherham) a bit more than us but we couldn't get our passes together and couldn't run with the ball because the pitch didn't allow it.'

Yet another Manager who has complaints with the pitch at Don Valley - I really feel we have to make DVS a fortress next season and learn how to 'make it play' to our advantage.
