'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Cress 'we will be a new team next season'

Rotherham United skipper, Ryan Cresswell says that if the Millers are to challenge for promotion next season, then Manager, Andy Scott has to bring in some new players.

Speaking to Richard Fidler of The Star, the twenty-three year old said, 'He`s got to freshen it up.

'Last season was a disappointment but maybe it`s time to brush that under the carpet and get on with it.

'Rotherham United will be a new team next season and, I think, you will see a difference from top to bottom. It`s exciting times at Rotherham United and it is for everyone in Rotherham. We`re moving forward and let`s start that in pre-season.`

Cress joined the Millers from Bury last season and, then manager, Ronnie Moore, made him captain of the team and he scored in his first game against Lincoln. Due to being plagued with injuries he only managed twenty-six appearances and five goals so I`m sure he`s looking forward to 'starting again` next season.
