RUFC - Warrington not needed

Rotherham United will not be renewing goalkeeper, Andy Warrington's contract after next season.

Warrington, who joined the Millers from Bury in 2007 has played more than one hundred and fifty games for Rotherham and has missed very few games but, after suffering a nasty toe injury, hasn't played since the loss to Morecambe at Don Valley at the beginning of April.

It is thought that the decision to tell the thirty-four year old now is so that he could maybe get a longer deal elsewhere with Millers Manager, Andy Scott probably looking to bring in a new 'keeper for the start of next season. Whether this will be as understudy to Jamie Annerson or not isn't known.

But he still has another season to prove his worth, if it's not renewing after next season. Come on Andy, show the other Andy what you are made of!!

If it wasn't for him I think we may have been lower down the table and I would be sorry to see him leave. I agree with Bez, show em what you're worth!

Be sorry to see him go

Yes, he has saved us many times in the past, but as last season progressed he made some basic errors and his kicking left something to be desired! Many thanks for your great performances, Andy, but maybe it's time for a change?
