'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman 'No enquiries for anyone'

Rotherham United have had no enquiries about top striker, Adam Le Fondre or midfielder Nicky Law Chairman, Tony Stewart told Dom Howson of The Star yesterday.

Former Millers player and manager, Alan Knill, who is now in charge of Scunthorpe, has made noises about both Le Fondre and Law which Mr Stewart knows about but said, 'I heard about the Scunthorpe link and that Alan (Knill) is interested but I have not had one phone call. I haven't had a 'phone call for any member of the team.`

Le Fondre has a year left on his contract and, at the end of the season, said that he was 'fed up` of playing League Two football while Mr Stewart has always said that Alfie wouldn`t be going anywhere unless a club came in with 'silly` money. Nicky Law has been offered a new contract but if he decides not to stay then, being under twenty-four years old, the club would be entitled to compensation.

So, I suppose, Knilly, it`s over to you now.
