RUFC - Scott praises Lidds

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott, had nothing but praise for the departing Andy Liddell today.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Scott said, 'I`ve spoken to Lidds today and he understands the situation and won`t be with us next season. I would like to thank him for all the work he`s done for the club but it is just an unfortunate fact of life that when a new manager comes in they want to bring their own people with them. And, financially and logistically it doesn`t work to keep everyone.

'He was fantastic for me last year with the transaction for me coming in which was seamless because of the work Lidds and Warney had done. I`ll do what I can to let people know that he`s a good lad and hopefully he can get fixed up elsewhere.`
