RUFC - Millers Manager on Pringle

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that midfielder Ben Pringle will be tenacity to the side.

Speaking to MillersPlayer about Pringle, who recently signed a two year deal with the Millers, Scott said, 'He will bring energy, ability and a real enthusiasm to go and prove a point and I`m delighted to get him, certainly on a free transfer.

'He signed for Derby from Ilkeston for a fee but was in and out of the side but it`s obviously a Championship club and I think he feels he wasn`t given the chances he deserved. He did very well on loan at Torquay and went back to Derby expecting to be playing in the Derby side for the last month or so to prove that he was worthy of a place in the squad for this year but it didn`t work out for him.

'I`ve known about him for a long time, because he played under my brother at Ilkeston and I`ve seen him in a lot of games. And, near enough every person I`ve spoken to has said what a fantastic signing he is and I`ve never heard a bad report about him. It`s a really good signing for us.

'He`s essentially a central-midfield player but can play wide left or at left back. He`s a good player and he wants to get his career back on track and we convinced him that this is the place to do it. He wants to get out and play regular football and wants to be involved in a successful side.`
