RUFC- Scott very pleased to get Holroyd

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that new signing, Chris Holroyd is a 'hungry player.'

Speaking to MillersPlayer Scott said, 'Chris is a very hard working centre-forward who is quick and plays on the shoulder. He scored six goals in twelve games for Stevenage and scored for Bury in the four games he played there.

'To get him on a free transfer, after having beaten off several other clubs, is very, very pleasing.

'He was unfortunate at Brighton the way they set out their team with one main striker and he was behind some very good players so it was no shame for him that he didn't play.

'And it was a compliment to him that he wanted to go out on loan to get games other than just sitting there and kicking his heels.'

Chris went out on loan to both Stevenage and Bury last season after only making two appearances for Brighton, and Stevenage Manager, Graham Westley, said 'he is a constant menace to opposition defences.' He played in the game for Stevenage at Don Valley in October and came off the subs bench for the nil-nil at Don Valley for Bury.
