'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Thomas-Moore pondering his future

Rotherham United`s former striker, Ian Thomas-Moore, says that, if he hasn`t found another club by the beginning of August he could well be hanging up his boots.

Speaking to The Star, the former Tranmere player, who will be thirty-five in August, said, 'If no one comes in for me before the season starts, I will have missed pre-season and I am nearly thirty-five so I would be playing catch up. I will have to wait and see what happens.`

Ian joined the Millers in January, when his dad, Ronnie, was in charge and, for the most part was played out of position and, to be fair, made little impact. In the twelve games he was involved in for Rotherham, he scored three goals, all coming on a Friday night in March at Lincoln in a six-nil win.

Thomas-Moore who parted company with Rotherham last week by mutual consent, carried on, 'Given an injury free run, I know I can hold my own in a team in League Two and I think I`ve easily got another two years in me.

'Hopefully I will get a club sooner rather than later because the longer you are out of football the harder it is to get back into it.`

I feel sorry for ITM. More or less dragged here by his dad and now thinking he might be on the scrapheap
