RUFC - Striker on his move to the Millers

Rotherham United's latest signing, Lewis Grabban said, after speaking to Manager, Andy Scott over the summer, it was an easy decision for him to join the Millers.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after signing today, the twenty-three year old former Brentford striker, said, 'I know Andy very well. I know what he's about and what he's going to be trying to do this season so it was really easy for me to make the decision to come. He's very hard working which transforms into the team and, from my time at Brentford, I know how the team will be playing. The squad looks strong and he's made some good signings and hopefully we will be strong enough to get promotion.'

Having played with another new signing, Danny Schofield, Lewis said that he was another factor of him coming saying, 'He's a good player and I know him well and if a player of his calibre is choosing to come here then it encourages other players to come, though I didn't manage to speak to him before I moved here.'

Asked about himself and what he will bring to the squad, Lewis said, 'I came through the ranks at Crystal Palace and learnt a lot of things from some good players and managers there. I can play out wide but the majority of the time I play up front.'
