RUFC - Taylor's compensation sorted

RUFC - Taylor's compensation sorted

Rotherham United and Bristol City have agreed terms for striker, Ryan Taylor without having to go to a tribunal.

Taylor, who has gone for an undisclosed fee, turned down a deal with the Millers and joined the Robins but, because he is under twenty-four years of age, the Millers were due compensation which has now been sorted.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Chief Operating Officer, Paul Douglas said, 'We have negotiated a good deal which we felt adequately compensated Rotherham United.

'We are disappointed that Ryan decided to leave but understood that he wants to play at a higher level. Bristol City were very fair in their dealings with us and I wish Ryan all the best with his new club.

'On behalf of everyone associated with the club I would like to thank Ryan for his effort, commitment and professionalism whilst he was a Rotherham United player and everyone at the club wishes him well for the future.'
