Rotherham United defender, Ryan Cresswell is hoping that he will be handed the captains arm band again next season.
The twenty-three year old joined his home club last summer from Bury on a three-year deal and was given the job as skipper by then manager, Ronnie Moore but now manager, Andy Scott, has yet to decide who will be given the job this season.
'I want to captain this club again,' Cress said before yesterday's friendly with Sheffield Wednesday. 'I did it last season but I think I have more to offer now.'
He told David Beddows of The Advertiser, 'I think I have the qualities to lead the team and lead the back line and organise them. It's just for the gaffer to see.'
Cress had a couple of bad injuries last season but says he's put that all behind him now. 'I feel and fit and fresh and I want to play a big part next season and organise the back line. I don't think I've felt this sharp before.'
