RUFC - Millers boss fumes over 'mischief mongers'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott has told any prospective buyers of Adam Le Fondre to 'put up or shut up' saying that rumours about his top striker are being created by 'mischief mongers.'

Speaking to Sportinglife.com, Scott said that there had been no bid for Alfie from Coventry last week, as had been reported in the press, and that the rumours were coming from outside the club.

'There's no talk from inside the club,' Scott said, 'it's coming from people who have nothing to do with Rotherham United.'

Annoyed, Scott carried on, 'I don't talk about anyone else's players so I don't see why managers should talk about my players and I'm certainly not talking about Adam Le Fondre going anywhere else.

'There's no speculation as far as I'm concerned. It's all generated by other people who want to be mischief mongers and I'm not prepared to deal with those people so they should put up or shut up.'

After the Millers lost to Scunthorpe last night at Don Valley, it would appear that the Lincolnshire club, who had a bid for Alfie turned down recently, won't be putting in a second bid.
