Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that it had been a 'good workout` for his lads against Scunthorpe United on Wednesday night at Don Valley while Iron Manager, Alan Knill said he thought his side played really well in the first half.

Speaking to IronPlayer, the former Millers player and manager, Knill said, 'I thought we moved the ball around really well and caused them a lot of problems.

'They went more direct in the second half but we stood up to that and I`m happier today than I was on Sunday and tonight gives us something to look forward to.`

Asked about former Millers, Stephen Brogan, who he has had on trial, Knill said, 'Steve has gone. I`m disappointed really but the deal was only to keep him fit and to have a pre-season with us. I`ve known Stephen since he was fourteen and I`m hopeful that he`ll get a club. We will try our best to help him because he`s a top lad and a really good player. There must be someone out there who wants someone like Stephen Brogan.`
