RUFC - Chairman 'no rush to push Alfie out'

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart, says, that although he would like to see striker, Adam Le Fondre stay with the Millers, he will let him go - but only if the offer is right.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Post, Mr Stewart, who has rejected two bids for the striker from Sheffield Wednesday plus bids from elsewhere, said, 'Adam Le Fondre is ambitious and is yearning to play for a higher club - you can`t take that away from him and we don`t want to stand in his way but we don`t have to sell. I would like to see him stay, score twenty goals before Christmas, and put us on the path to promotion. If he did that, he could play in League One for us next season and in a brand new stadium.

'But, if people want to contact us and talk about Adam Le Fondre then I am happy to do that. But, we are in no rush to push him out of the door.`
