RUFC - Council vote unanimous 'Yes' to new ground

Rotherham United have got final planning permission in place for the new stadium at the old Guest and Chrimes Foundry site.

The permission was given after all members of Rotherham Borough Council`s planning board voted in favour of the clubs new ground.

Simon Chadwick who is the Managing Director of Signet Planning told The Advertiser, 'The design is seeking to provide a facility which is tailor-made to Rotherham United and therefore the town as a whole. It is intended to establish a sense of civic pride as well as a modern purpose-built football stadium.`

The Millers now have a 'stadium cam` working at the site and, among other places, this can be seen stickied on Millers Mumblings on Vital Rotherham.
