Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott was thrilled with the way his team played yesterday. Coming back from one down against Plymouth Argyle to win four-one he said, 'It was fantastic` and 'was probably one of the best away performances that I`ve seen for a while.`
Speaking to Radio Sheffield, Scott said, 'In the first half we could have had three or four and we created a lot of chances.
'They had a bit of possession and caused us a few problems but it never really hurt us and we defended really, really well. Our centre-halves are delighted in there. We were dominant in that area and it`s a good basis to build on. Our organisation was good and we counter-attacked extremely well and we were a huge threat from set-pieces al day.
'We have got natural goal scorers in the squad but we do expect everyone to chip in with the goals and Michael Raynes could have scored in the first half when he had one cleared off the line and he was a threat all day. If you`re going to do well in a season then everyone has to chip in and those two (Raynes and Ryan Cresswell) have shown they are a threat in the area.
'We stuck to our task and we changed it at half-time just because I wanted to make sure that they (Plymouth) wouldn`t have as much possession in the middle areas. We were happy with the crosses coming into the box because we were defending ever so well and we`ve got a 'keeper who comes for them and our back four dealt with it comfortably.
'I`m delighted with the way the lads took everything on board and we changed the system a couple of times because they were causing us a few problems so fair play to them, but our quality told in the end.
'We`ve been watching videos of our games and the way we can change it and it worked today. We may change things round again for Tuesday against Crewe because Marcus Marshall wasn`t quite ready today but he should be ready for Tuesday.`
