'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Pringle hopes to play more

Rotherham United Midfielder, Ben Pringle scored his first goal for the Millers last night in the two-one victory over Crewe Alexandra just seven minutes after coming off the subs bench.

The twenty-two year old joined the Millers in the summer after being at Derby County and was obviously delighted to get on the score sheet and told MillersPlayer that it was a 'good feeling.'

'I'm pleased with the goal because it was from quite a way out.

'I thought we edged the game slightly, though it could have gone either way, but I think we did ever so well to ride it out and come away with a win. It doesn't really matter how you win as long as you do and that's how teams win titles and cups because no matter what happens you come away with a a win.'

Ben admitted that he'd been thinking about getting his chance to play saying, 'I'll keep on working and if the gaffer thinks I'm ready then I'll be prepared to play. It's a long season and there will be a time when everyone will get to play. I obviously came here to play games which is what I want to do, not just sit on the bench or not play at all, I want to be involved as much as I can. We've got a good gaffer and we've had a chat but he decides the team and you have to respect that. But, the teams been winning so I haven't really got a case and you have to bide your time and wait for your chance.

'There's a long way to go but I'm confident that we can still win the league.'
