'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman 'gobsmacked'!

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart said that he is not getting carried away with the brilliant start the Millers have had to the season but also admitted to being 'gobsmacked`!

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser 'We know the effort and preparation put in by the manager, his staff and the players would show itself on the pitch but I am gobsmacked that it has come sooner rather than later.

'The nine new players who have come in have bonded and are playing as though they have been here a long time and that`s all credit to the management team.

'There`s been a transformation and it`s a different team now. It`s not just a team of footballers but a group of super fit individuals who have the right mindset to take forward which has been borne out in the games so far. And, this side looks good enough to make a strong challenge.`

The Millers have won three out of three of their league games and are top of League Two and two points above second placed Crawley Town.
