'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman 'we have a Plan B'

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart says that the interest in striker, Adam Le Fondre is hotting up.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Mr Stewart said, 'Alfie has started off the season on fire and there has been more interest in the last twenty-four hours than in the last ten days.

'We`ve had some lovely discussions with Alfie. We don`t want to lose him but we don`t want to stand in his way either. Unfortunately, we are resigned to losing him but we are determined to hold on for what he is worth and get a fair return because we need to replace him. The more that we get the more goes in investment.

'We have a Plan B if Alfie goes. Andy Scott has one or two players lined up. But, we would rather not press that button yet. Our valuation of him hasn`t changed but I don`t know how others are thinking or how they are working so we will just have to wait and see but I do have plans in place just in case.`
