RUFC - Alfie off to Reading .....

RUFC - Alfie off to Reading .....

Rotherham United striker, Adam Le Fondre will sign for Reading, subject to a medical and personal terms.

It's understood that Reading beat West Ham, Coventry and Sheffield Wednesday for the twenty-four year old's signature.

It is thought, though not confirmed, that the price for Alfie was £350k with add ons - but, out of that we have to pay a percentage to Rochdale (where he came to the Millers from) which is thought to be twenty-five per cent.

I think all Millers fans knew Alfie was going, though many thought he would be with us tomorrow for the game against Gillingham.

At least, it's all been sorted now and Andy Scott still has time to get his 'Plan B' sorted and get in a striker to replace Alfie and his goals.

Me, I'm pleased he's chosen to go to Reading because if he'd gone to Sheffield Wednesday I am certain that Rotherham fans would have grumbled and groaned and moaned about him - now we can remember him for his goals and what he brought to Rotherham United.

All at Vital Rotherham want to wish Alfie all the best for his future.
