RUFC - Scott 'Revell will be strong for us'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that new signing, Alex Revell will give the Millers the physical presence that he feels has been lacking.

Speaking to MillersPlayer about the striker who joined yesterday from Leyton Orient, Scott said, 'He will bring us goals and an option to bring others into the game. He holds the ball up well and attacks crosses in both boxes and he is the sort of player we`ve been looking for.

'He scored sixteen goals for Orient last year and got their Player of the Year award and was a major contributing factor to them doing so well in the league and FA Cup and I`m anticipating that he will be very strong for us.

'We always knew that we wanted someone with a bit of physical presence up front and who can help out Grabs (Lewis Grabban) and Chrissie Holroyd and get on the end of crosses that we are going to get in the box. We spoke to several centre-forwards but when I spoke to Alex we liked him straight away and we got in their quickly and I feel that we`ve got an extremely good deal.

'He`s just turned twenty-eight, a good age, and he`s not fazed by anything. He`s come out of non-league and has some experience and is hungry for it. He played a lot of games last year and the year before so has got a good games record.`
