'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC -Mullins happy to be back

Rotherham United defender, Johnny Mullins is particularly grateful to Millers physio, Denis Circuit for helping him get over a nasty knee injury that has kept him out of action since April.

After first being told he wouldn`t be kicking a football much before Christmas, the twenty-five year old made his comeback this week in the five-one Reserve win over Port Vale and told Les Payne of The Star that 'it was good to be out there.`

Mullins who played nearly forty games for the Millers last season after joining from Stockport said, 'It`s been a lot of hard work and I`m so grateful to Denis Circuit for all he`s done as well as for all the people who`ve helped me - which includes my wife too for all she`s had to put up with!

'The initial estimate was that I`d be out until October so it`s a great tribute to Denis for all the work he`s put in with me. Yes, I was nervous before the reserve game but I just wanted to get out there and get that first header and challenge in. I was blowing a bit but the other lads helped me through it.`

Johnny played seventy minutes on Monday and should play again for the reserves next week against Hull. 'I want to get through that and I`m targeting the Sheffield United game on October 4 although I suppose the gaffer will have something to say on that!`

Well Done, Jimmy. You have certainly been missed! Hope to see you in the starting line up at DV very soon. IMO one our best players last season.

Yep, I thought so too, sixpence. Did really well last season and I think he will fit into this team easily
