RUFC - Evans 'got to learn from last week'

Rotherham United forward Gareth Evans said that it was frustrating only coming away from Plainmoor last weekend with a point after leading twice.

Speaking to The Advertiser, the twenty-three year old, who joined the Millers from Bradford in the close season, said, 'When you score three goals away from home you should win, simple as that.

'We`ve got to use it and learn from it and take it into our next away game. Since I came to Rotherham I don`t seem to have played in a bad game and, at the end of the day, we are scoring goals, which is the hardest thing to do in football. It is frustrating but, like the gaffer says, a few minor tweaks and we won`t be far off.

'The gaffer has made it plain that the best way of defending is to attack, which matches mine and a lot of the players` way of thinking. That`s why the games have been so entertaining and, with the players we have at this club, if we keep attacking we will keep scoring goals.`

Speaking about himself, Gareth said, 'The gaffer has asked me to play out on the left and I`m just happy to be playing and involved. I`ve managed to score a few goals and set a few up and if I carry on like that then I`ll continue to enjoy it.`
