RUFC - Skipper out for some time?

Rotherham United Skipper Ryan Cresswell could be out for weeks after getting a knock in training last week. With Johnny Mullins only just coming back from a five month lay off and Troy Brown missing games when called up for Wales, it leaves Millers Manager, Andy Scott with a bit of a nightmare.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Scott said, 'Ryan got a knock in training and his ankle has swollen up really badly.

'He's had a scan and seen the consultant and it isn't great news and we have to wait another week or so for another consultation and see where we are with it but, at the moment he's looking at the possibility of surgery.

'That gives us a bit of a problem, although we are fortunate that John Mullins is getting back to fitness but it's a bit of a difficult one to be putting him into games this early and we will be looking for extra cover in that area.'

After having a good game for the Reserves against Hull, it could be that Mark Bradley could get a game at the back and Scott said, 'He did it in pre-season and adapted very well and, he doesn't really care where he plays as long as he's playing and he will always give one hundred per cent. He's strong, decent in the air and can pass it and we used him there last night to have a look and he's certainly put himself in contention for Saturday.'
