RUFC - Scott 'players gave me everything'

RUFC - Scott 'players gave me everything'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said he thought there were some good performances from his team this afternoon despite the two-nil defeat by Port Vale.

Speaking about striker, Alex Revell who got a whack, Scott told MillersPlayer, 'Big Clayton McDonald fell on him on the gravel and he's got scrapes on his face. He worked his socks off and is a real handful and caused mayhem. We're trying to get the ball in the box for him but, unfortunately he couldn't get on the end of one today. '

Talking about Johnny Mullins who played his first ninety minutes since April, Scott said, 'Considering the heat it was a real worry because he's been out for god knows how long and he had to stay on. Michael Raynes has been up all night ill but we haven't got any other centre-half. He was struggling to play and at half-time he didn't think he'd have more than fifteen more minutes in him but he managed to dig in and work through it which was a big bonus for him and us. We've got people down injured and who are struggling but they gave me everything they've got.'
