'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Port Vale

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said, despite the two-nil loss at Port Vale yesterday, his was the better side and it was two errors that cost them the game.

Meanwhile, opposite number, Micky Adams told Radio Stoke that it was a welcome three points from a tough game.

'It looked as though there was a determination and a resolve to keep a clean sheet,` Adams said. 'We were on top after fifteen minutes and got the two goals, which was really the only bit of quality forward play we had all game.

'Rotherham started the game very, very well and had a few corners early on but I looked at the boys and they looked like they wanted to attack the ball which they had to from set-pieces.

'I thought it was an all-round decent performance without being spectacular.`
