'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Millers 'keeper wishes Blades well

Rotherham United goalkeeper, Jamie Annerson says he is grateful to his former club, Sheffield United, who are in town tonight in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Jamie, who is currently out injured so won't feature tonight, played for the Blades at Youth level and signed professional terms with them in 2006. He originally came from United to the Millers on loan and signed a deal in the summer of 2009.

Speaking to the Official Site Jamie said, 'They started the season brilliantly but have had a couple of disappointing results recently. But, I'm sure, because they have kept hold of top players like Stephen Quinn, they will be mounting a promotion challenge come the end of the season.

'I was at Bramall Lane for five or six years and they taught me so much so I'm grateful to everyone I worked with for getting my career going. I've seen them play this season as well and it's good to see them fighting for promotion, but hopefully their Johnstone's Paint Trophy run isn't as successful!'
