RUFC - Scott Urgently Looking for new Players

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says he needs to do something quickly about getting someone in to prop up his defence.

Mark Bradley came out of tonight's game with Sheffield United with a dislocated shoulder, which will probably mean he's out for some weeks. Gareth Evans has a slight foot problem and was rested this evening. Skipper, Ryan Cresswell, is awaiting for results of x-rays on an injured foot and Johnny Mullins has just come back from a five month lay-off.

So, things aren't looking good for the Millers at the back and Scott told MillersPlayer, 'It's a day off for the players tomorrow but my arrangements have changed now.

'We've got a few names that we've been pursuing but if we don't get someone in then we're going to be fully tested. Fortunately we've got a free mid-week next week. We need to find someone because I think it will be unfair for Mulls to keep having to play ninety minutes having just come back. Realistically, we've only got Tom (Newey) at left-back and our back four are really the only four who can play there apart from Marcus Marshall possibly at right-back.

'We are really down to the bare bones and it's probably fair to say that we are looking for more than one body in before Saturday. It's a disappointment that we are having to do that but we've got to make sure that we've got a strong enough squad to compete in the next few games and allow Cress to get back fit. His diagnosis will come back on Monday and that will probably determine how many we get in.'
