'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott hoping to add to squad

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott is still hoping to get a defender in before the game with Burton Albion on Saturday at Don Valley.

It`s been confirmed that Mark Bradley will be out for around three months after dislocating his shoulder on Tuesday night in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy while skipper, Ryan Cresswell is looking at a long lay of with ankle ligament damaged and Troy Brown is away on international duty which leaves the Millers down to the bare bones in the defensive department.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, Scott said, 'We have a problem which we are going to have to rectify very quickly.

'Brads has fought hard to get back into the side and has been an exemplary pro so it`s a massive blow to him and us. And, with the problems we`ve been having defensively, in terms of numbers, it`s the last thing we needed. We are now down to four defenders.

'The phone is working but the replies have not been what we are looking for. We can`t afford to get desperate or we will get the wrong players in. But we will keep knocking on the same doors and hopefully get the right answers.`

Maybe it`s time to bring Luke Foster in from the cold? The twenty-six year old joined the Millers in the summer from Stevenage signing a one-year deal but all we`ve seen of him for the first team is six minutes at the end of August when he came off the subs bench. I, for one, have been a bit bemused at why he`s not been given some time on the pitch.
