'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott Frustrated

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott is frustrated with not being able to bring players in plus the fact that one of his players, Troy Brown is away with the Welsh U21 squad.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Scott said, 'It`s killing us at the moment. He seems to be going every three weeks which isn`t helping him and isn`t helping us. But, it`s obviously an accolade he can`t turn down.

'He got called up on Tuesday for a game that`s at the weekend so they wouldn`t allow him to play for us on Tuesday. It`s madness. For a young player who`s got the opportunity to play first team football and to enhance their career and they are being pulled out of it to play international football which is limiting the games they are going to play. It`s very, very frustrating but that`s the way it is.

'We`ve asked for a little bit of leniency and a little bit of common sense but it wasn`t forthcoming.`

Scott was also frustrated that, despite numerous phone calls, he hasn`t, as yet, been able to get anybody in for defensive cover.

'We`ve covered nearly everyone in the country regarding who might be available, even players who we`ve no chance of getting, but you have to ask the question. But, we will continue to look at bringing in players who will give us the cover and to push the ones who we have got in the side,` the Millers Manager said.
