RUFC - Scott 'we can still do it'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott insists that promotion is still achievable.

The Millers have dropped down the table with alarming speed over the last few weeks, not having won a game since 10th September, but, despite this being Scott`s worst run of his managerial career, he still says that the Millers can win the league.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Scott said, 'We are a few points off the top now but the ambition is still to get promoted and, I still believe, that we can win the league.`

Having only got two points in their last six games, the Millers have fallen to thirteenth place but the Manager says that his side has shown that they have the quality to get results.

'Everyone goes through a bad spell,` Scott carried on, 'and we seem to be going through one early in the season and, yes, it`s a bit longer than I`d have liked, but I`m not concerned about this squad like others I`ve had who haven`t been on such a bad run. You worry about some in adversity but I don`t here because these players are excellent to work with.

'Of course, we want to get back to winning ways because there`s every chance that you can go on a decent run and that`s what we`ve got to do.`
