RUFC - Scott 'need to keep clean sheets'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott told Radio Sheffield that he was disappointed that his side didn't get all three points this afternoon at Northampton.

'I thought we dominated for the majority of the game,' Scott said. 'They were all about set-pieces, the long ball and counter attacking which I thought we dealt with reasonably well.

'With the injuries we had and the changes we had to make we are disappointed not to win the game. We can see there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we are pushing towards it. We are creating chances and getting balls in the box and we just need something to fall for us at the moment. But we need a little bit more composure in the final third and better quality into the box and in the end I thought we probably had double figures of corners which are are nearly getting on the end of but not quite.

'Danny Harrison had one cleared off the line which was our best chance and Conrad (Logan) made a good save from Akinfenwa which was really their only chance. We had a couple of chances on the edge of the box that went wide, one that was blocked and one go over and we just didn't hit the target enough. But there are definite signs that we are on the forward and we don't look in danger too much at conceding goals now but there's still that elusive clean sheet that we need to keep.

'We knew they'd be up for it today because it was a big game for them having lost four on the bounce. Gary (Johnson) made a lot of changes and they put us under a lot of pressure in terms of the pace but we withheld that and looked good going forward ourselves.'
