RUFC - Youth Cup Game This Evening

Rotherham United Youth team have a big game this evening at Don Valley in the FA Youth Cup against Accrington Stanley.

Player Development Manager, Darren Sarll says that the team have been working hard in training.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Sarll said, 'Andy (Scott) gave me the chance to do some coaching against the first team today and control the session which was nice for me and the lads. This allowed us to work on defensive aspects and not having the ball for long periods like you won`t have against first team players. We got a lot done and the lads were very committed to doing the things we were asking them to do.

'Accrington are a good side and it will be a good test for us. They bring out a different aspect to the game being very physical which we don`t really see a lot and it will be a different challenge to last Saturday which was more of a technical duel.`

Darren has a message for Millers fans saying, 'Come down tonight. It`s part of their development dealing with fans and having them shout and things. Hopefully we`ll be entertaining, although last time I said that we conceded five! The lads are all fit and raring to go and are really looking forward to it.`

Tickets for the game are on sale at Barbot Hall - Adults £3 and Concessions £1.

Kick-Off this evening at Don Valley is 7pm
