RUFC - Millers Appoint New Commercial Head

Rotherham United have appointed Steve Lewis as their new Head of the Commercial Department, stepping into the shoes of Steve Coakley who recently departed to go and do a similar job at Bramall Lane.

Speaking to the Official Site, Steve said, who has also worked for Sheffield United and Leeds United said, 'I've been very impressed with what I've seen here and I'm really looking forward to getting my feet firmly under the table and starting work.'

Having spoken to Millers Chairman, Tony Stewart, Steve carried on, 'Mr Stewart was extremely passionate about having success for Rotherham and for the football club, and that was one of the reasons why I came on board. I am looking forward to working with the partners who currently work alongside the Millers, as well as building up relationships with partners elsewhere.

'I've got plans for a new ticketing structure, amongst a handful of other ways to continue the fine job that has been done by the club prior to my appointment.'

Citing the new stadium as another reason he joined the Millers back room staff, he said, 'This is a great opportunity to work on something that doesn't come around too often, so I am really looking forward to getting involved with that project.

'I feel I have a lot to offer to this club and I am very much looking forward to the challenge ahead and I want to take the club forward to where it belongs.'
